Free Holiday Clubs for Children (Holiday Activities & Food Programme)
Ace Sports Coaching proudly delivers HAF Holiday Clubs across Nottinghamshire, providing free holiday activities and nutritious food for eligible children during school holidays.
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is a government-funded initiative designed to support children aged 5–16 who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Our HAF clubs give children the opportunity to stay active, make friends and enjoy fun, structured days in a safe and supportive environment — all at no cost to eligible families.
We currently run HAF holiday clubs at the following venues open to ALL children:
What is the HAF Programme?
The Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) supports children’s physical, social and emotional wellbeing during school holidays.
Through the programme, children can access:
- Free holiday club places
- A wide range of sports and activities
- Healthy meals and snacks
- Safe, supervised environments with experienced staff
HAF is available during:
- Easter (Spring) holidays
- Summer holidays
- October half term (Autumn)
- Christmas holidays (Winter)
What to Expect at Our HAF Holiday Clubs
At Ace Sports Coaching, our HAF programmes are designed to provide engaging, active and enjoyable days for children.
Each day includes a variety of:
- Sports activities (football, tennis, basketball and more)
- Team games and challenges
- Arts and crafts
- Social and group activities
Our sessions focus on helping children:
- Stay active and healthy
- Build confidence and social skills
- Make new friends
- Try new activities in a fun environment
All sessions are delivered by qualified, DBS-checked and experienced coaches, ensuring every child is safe, supported and encouraged.

Our goal is to get the children to be able to complete challenges / activities that we set. This ensures the children are kept engaged and motivated.

We adapt all of our sessions in order to challenge all children within the session no matter their standard or age.

At the end of each session / term we want the children to come away from our sessions with a new skill that stays with them outside of the session.
